How do I arrange to
start service to my home or business?
Five business days prior to closing on the property or moving,
please call BSU at (239) 992-0711 during business hours (from
8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday). Please be prepared
to provide your name, social security number, the property address
and the date of the closing or move. Our customer service representative
will provide information about your deposit at that time.
Can deposits be waived
for owners?
A property owner may have the deposit requirement
waived by providing a letter of credit,
including payment record, from another
utility
company. Deposit waivers are not offered to those renting their
homes.

When are deposits
refunded?
If the following conditions are met, your deposit will be refunded
automatically after 18 months of continuous service:

if there have been no checks returned by
your bank for insufficient funds

if service has not been disconnected for
non-payment, and
-
if there have been no late payments.
What is the charge
for service for a single-family home?
The charge depends on the meter size and monthly water use. The average home is equipped with a three-quarter-inch meter, and uses from 3,000 to 12,000 gallons of water per month. The monthly base charge for a three-quarter-inch meter is $7.70 for water and $27.05 for sewer service.
The total monthly charge for a home that used 6,000 gallons of water and had sewer service would be $80.48.
